Spirit Guides, and the roles they play…

Writer: MadHawkMadHawk

It took losing my son Brandon to suicide to begin thinking about death in a different way. His passing opened my eyes to a whole other world that exists just beyond what we can see. It’s not very far away at all. In fact, I think of it like an overlay, a transparency (remember those) laying just over top of our own world.

This spirit world is where our guides live and work on our behalf. At any given moment you can have as many guides as you can think of, and they come and go as you need them. For example, you are doing some public speaking, and it’s not your normal thing. A guide that’s specialty is performing or public speaking, or maybe one from the area of expertise you are speaking on, joins the team. They strengthen your confidence and help you find the right words. You get through the experience feeling like you did everything you sought out to do, and move on to your next project. This guide, not being needed by you any longer, steps back to help someone else. Think of any major situation, where you have needed help, and asked for it through prayer, or silently through your heart. Those moments when you are lifted and supported, given the energy or the confidence, or even the right words…all came from your team that might include a special guide.

Through out all of our daily lives there is a core team of 1 to 3 guides that are with you every day. I believe that before our souls come down to experience earth, we set up what it is we want to accomplish, and the milestones we need to meet along the way. We work closely with our main guides during this time to create a contract, a bond. You agree to live your life, making decisions, experiencing all that your lifetime has to offer. They agree to help you along the way with meeting those milestones and staying on track towards the goals you set up. You work as a team, and other teams interact with each other along the way to meet shared goals. Nothing is random. You have free will, but you are guided by those inner dialogues, conversations soul to soul with your guide team.

You may have known your guide in a prior life, you may have spent many lifetimes together as a team. They may or may not be an ancestor of yours, or a member of your soul family. A soul family or soul circle is a group that tends to recycle together, finding each other in every shared lifetime. Either way, this close relationship is kept from you during your journey here, because it’s not important to the “mission”, and could even side track you. That’s why it’s good to know you have guides, maybe even names, but beyond that it’s important to just be allowed to complete your souls journey. No strings attached.

Sylvia Browne wrote at length about her own guides, her interactions with them, and how guides play a major role in our lives. Another author that has written about guides is Dolores Cannon. It’s interesting how alike the discussions are from both women, who didn’t really interact or conspire during their lifetimes. I recommend both of these writers if you want to study this subject in your own. You may find your questions answered among the pages, just as I did.

I'm hoping that sharing with you what I’ve learned about the spirit world helps you to forge your own connection with your team. Religions around the world include various aspects of this in many overlapping ways because spirituality is the core of all faiths. It’s up to you to decide based on your own walk of faith just how much you want to incorporate within your belief system, but I think a lot of it explains the gaps one might have trying to understand their God.

I find it comforting to know that I’m not alone, that I’m loved and protected every minute of the day, and that I’m divinely directed. Knowing that our loved ones that have passed, surround us with their love and support, cheering for us on the sidelines, makes my heart fill full. I wish I could see Brandon again, hear his laugh, and give him a hug. Since this isn’t possible, the next best thing, knowing he’s with me, he visits me, and he’s helping me learn all of this from the other side is almost enough…almost.

Its my hope that this blog continues to help open your eyes a little bit to what I believe to be. Guides, angels, soul circles and soul families, and a life loosely planned leaving room for choice, but everything with a purpose.

Much Love,

MadHawk
